Planet of the Humans: a Sequel (Webinar) planet c technology

by wghhvcQADjhg

What should we do in response to the key messages of Planet of the Humans? Love it or hate it, there’s no escaping some inconvenient truths in this controversial film executive produced by Michael Moore. In this May 19, 2020 webinar, our panelists examine what the film got right and consider necessary course corrections – to avoid terminating or greatly harming human civilization. The webinar addressed the roles of overpopulation, overconsumption and economic growth in the most serious environmental crises we face.

1) By reflecting away 30% of ISR the albedo, which would not exist w/o the atmosphere/GHGs, makes the earth cooler than it would be without that atmosphere like that reflective panel set behind the windshield. Remove the atmosphere/GHGs and the earth would become much like the Moon and Mercury, a barren rock with a 0.1 albedo, 20% more kJ/h, hot^3 on the lit side, cold^3 on the dark. Nikolov, Kramm (U of AK) and UCLA Diviner mission all tacitly agree.

2) the GHG up/down welling, “trapping”/”back” radiating/delaying/intercepting, 100 % efficient, perpetual warming loop requires "extra" energy which according to RGHE theory comes from

3) the terrestrial surface radiating that "extra" energy as a LWIR ideal black body which

4) cannot happen because of the non-radiative heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmospheric molecules and as demonstrated by experiment, the gold standard of classical science:

1+2+3+4 = 0 Greenhouse Effect + 0 Greenhouse gas warming + 0 man caused climate change.

One reaction to limits to growth would be designing towards repair of items of any kind.

We should give prices for good ideas, sustainable ideas, economic living and group gardening or group sharing of skills.

Dr Zach does not, he is doing. He knows that action is required now. We have solutions, they should be applied locally and grow from there not top down. Building also has to change, Thomas100 is a firm that produces 100% moon wood houses. These ideas should be supported.

The motivation to do what needs to be done and what needs to be not done will only come by force of nature

Your species will be culled to 500,000,000 to circumvent total planetary ecological collapse and biosphere destruction. There will be enough humans permitted to survive to ensure genetic fitness and diversity. The remaining humans will be reduced to a more natural state of living in harmony with nature and be prohibited from ever advancing technologically again.

Your species has failed it's mission and now must face the consequences.

This was a message from The Rogue Nemesis.

Thank you for this balanced thoughtful conversation. I feel sad, though, that there is not some focus on the very real possibility that we just will not make it. How do we live knowing our civilization very likely may collapse? What really matters to us all as humans, here, now? Together?

Plus – there is nothing called renewable energy. There's only less energy.

The dominant discourse of the mainstream environmental movement is about the preservation of our lifestyles by adopting new 'green' technologies. That principle tenet is placed above everything else that the mainstream environmental agencies may claim or actually do. Preserving the very culture and lifestyle which is killing the planet. The crux of the environmental movement today, which is western (and predominantly white) is about the continuation of capitalism and exploitation (i.e using the planet to feed human greed – not addressing the actual needs). Leading environmental organisations, along with scores of scientists and environmental activists actually view the Earth as a resource and not as a living entity. During the last 30 years, the environmental movement has been gradually botched and hijacked by neoliberalism and big-money, manifesting via many new eco-friendly mantras, new technologies and the green new 'deal'. What deal can we as a species make with mother nature?

2020 GREATEST NEWS

Michael Moore presents Planet of the Humans, a documentary that dares to say what no one else will this Earth Day — that we are losing the battle to stop climate change on planet earth because we are following leaders who have taken us down the wrong road — selling out the green movement to wealthy interests and corporate America Tesla.

This film is the wake-up call to the reality we are afraid to face: that in the midst of a human-caused extinction event, the environmental movement’s answer is to push for techno-fixes and band-aids. It's too little, too late.

Are we working the carbon problem or are we forcing answers we want(renewables). The film message was that amateur utility enthusiasts are dangerous. Voters should demand solutions from professionals and stop injecting armchair wisdom. Bill Gates has a great answer imho, use it and support it. Humans struggle with this.
